Elements
The refurbishment carried out in 2009-2010 included:
- building a new entrance on Bassein Park Road
- building stairs and a lift to all floors, enabling wheelchair users and others
with disabilities to reach all the main rooms
- rewiring the whole building
- modernising the kitchens and toilets, including adding toilets for the disabled
- flood prevention works in the basement
- refurbishment of the additional rooms behind the church
- construction of a new office for the minister
- removal of all asbestos found in the building

The total cost of the refurbishment was between £1.3m and £1.4m.
